Greetings!
My name is Joshua Baca and I am a Windsor High School Math teacher. I graduated from Sonoma State University and have a BA in Mathematics with a concentration in secondary teaching along with a minor in Statistics. Over the summer of 2014, summer of 2015, Summer 2018 I received training for teaching AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB to successfully be prepared for the AP test at the end of the year.
I am happy to say that the culmination of the 2017-2018 students in AP Stats was a very big success in terms of signing up and passing the AP Stats tests. Im excited to see what this year brings!
Most recent events for Summer 2017 and now Summer 2018 I taught Summer School Math 1 and Math 2. This was a rigorous 4 weeks but I was able to take away some great ideas to implement into this current 2018-2019 school year.
I want to push harder and excel more each year and look for opportunities to do that within and outside of the classroom with inspired students who maintain personal integrity and have open minds with a drive to learn.
Over the past years I have participated in professional development that has helped me grow as a math enthusiast, teacher, and individual. I do this for 2 reasons, professionally but also to mimic and display the same attitude and drive I wish for my (your) students to have in and outside the classroom. Make friends, form study groups, text groups, HELP each other and use me as an additional aid!
Professional Objective To continuously meet the common core state standards by creating a rich learning environment to successfully prepare students for being prepared, competent, and competitive in being college bound.
